Thermography… that’s a big word if you aren’t familiar with it. In the printing industry it simply means “raised letter printing”. This process was very big in the 80′s. Almost every business card that you could find was raised letter. By the mid 90′s, raised letter business cards had been replaced by heavy gloss card stock. These days business cards have graduated to the full color, full bleed type that everybody has. We provide those, and we love them because they’re easy! History repeats it’s self all the time, especially when it comes to fads and style. So… the folks who want to stand apart from their competition nowadays are using thermography again.
Brandywine is proud to be one of a handful of commercial print shops in the Atlanta area that has the equipment to provide raised letter printing in house. Most print shops have to outsource their thermography to a trade vendor. Outsourcing is ok, but we don’t like to lose control of quality or turnaround. So we invested in our own equipment in order to avoid any frustrating situations with our customers.
